Zipline

You have 2 Zipline spot in the Las Galeras \samana area,one is on the El Valle beach road with a nice tree house hotewl and the otherone is on the El Limon road...

Diving

There are 4 diving's clubs in Las Galeras so it means that's Las Galeras is a good spot for diving...
There are french swiss and english in the center of Las Galeras and Spanish and Dominican on Playita Beach
and also Italian in the all inclisive hotel.

Excursions

Motoconcho: the easiest way to get around in the village, just walk to the crossroad and wave to one of the motorbikes standing there, pay between 20 and 25 pesos for a ride.
Gua gua: the little local busses waiting for you at the beach (an hour) to Samana (pay 100 pesos).
Bicycles or motorbikes: .The surrounding is perfect for a nice ride with a bike or quad or mountain-bike. You can find rental stations in downtown Las Galeras. Juan y Lolo can also help you find the right bike for you.
Boats: to Fronton, Madame, Rincon or for whale trips: ask for ‘Dario' on Las Galeras beach near the restaurant. He brings you anywhere. Bargain for a good price or bring other people to share trip with.
Horses:Riding : go to Enzo rancho on the Las galeras beach on the right close of the Casa Marina beach resort or to La Rancheta (Karin), walk to the crossroad and continue straight on to Casa Marina (half hour walk or motoconcho). This originally Belgian woman do very special horse trips.
Cars: rent a car ask Juan y Lolo
LOS HAITISES is a national park located on the remote northeast coast of the Dominican Republic (Samana). It contains the greatest abundance of Caribbean mangrove, in which species like red mangrove and white mangrove predominate, it's also a birds reserve and you can visit some caves where the Tainos indians were living.You can also see Tainos pictograms.
TAINOS PARK : (Sanchez) a nice animation park with real size mannequins and life scenes wihere you can understand and see how the tainos indian were living it's very interesting and very well made.
WHALE WATCHING The 'whale season' runs from January to March. In these months between 2000 and 3000 humpback whales arrive here from the cold north, in orderto make love and to give birth to their young. It is truly majestic, to watch the whales, which are up to 16 metres long and weigh up to 40 tons, from the boat, as they flip, jump and dive. Additionally, from Cabo Samana or El Cabito restaurant one can observe the whales very well from land
El LIMON waterfall + Las Terrenas : Here one can rent horses with a guide in order to visit the 55 metres high cascading waterfall, which flows all year round . The way passes through a tropical rain forest, which has many vines in it. Zebra butterflies juggle in the sunshine throughout the forest. One passes coffee and cocoa plants. After between a half an hour or up to three-quarters of an hour, depending upon the condition of the path, one reaches the waterfall of the mountain river. One dismounts the horse and descends a slope by foot. Here one can looks up and admire, how the flowing water topples in free fall the 55 meters down into a reservoir, in which one can and should take a refreshing bath. Best place Santi Rancho in El Limon village.Than you can follow to Las Terrenas for shopping and visit the dominican St Tropez.
Boca del Diablo Is a dramatic blow-hole. It is an opening thru' the rocks from which air and spray come out at tremendous speeds depending on the underlying wave action. You will be amazed by the blowhole as well as the beautiful view of the sea you get from the rocks at the mouth. The way to the “Boca del Diablo” takes you also thru a “Noni” Forest, a well known healing plant in the Dominican republic.

“Beachvolley”.:Being lucky you can join a game of volleyball on the main beach.
'Soccer' : Every monday and friday from 5.30 pm at the Play (after the police quarter), the meeting of the Las Galeras soccer lovers
Beisbol. At the play every day in season...
Petanque : At the main beach (on the side of Las Mamas) every evening .
Basketball : At the Las Galeras lycée havealso to be lucky.

Undewaterhunting

We have reefs and beach with fish but you have to bring your materials or check with local fishermans

Snorkling

You can ask to Juan y Lolo for the spots or at the divings shops (Playita) also if you have no materials...

Fishing

The most indicated persons is Dario or easy ask to Juan y Lolo

Surf and Kite

Various spots in the Rincon bay but no materials available yet

Trekking

A lot of trekkings to do in the Las Galeras area most are to lonely beaches...but also in the Rincon mountains and lonely lakes...

The One indicated persons and still competitor in veterans is Gerard .(also triaton competitor)
He know all about the ways and the tricks all arround the Samana Peninsula and Dominican Republic.
